2.1.21 - Menus - File - Security - Password Protect Model
Allows you to add password protection to a model.
Follow these steps to use this command:
1) Open a Model Window for the model you want to password protect.
You can use the "Open Model" command in the File Menu to do so.
2) Choose "Security - Password Protect Model" from the File Menu.
NOTE: If the "Security - Password Protect Model" item in the File Menu is disabled (grayed out), it means that a password has already been assigned to the current model. If you wish the set a different password, use the "Security - Remove Model Password" command first, then use this command to set a new password.
MindModel will present you with a dialog which allows you to enter a password.
3) Enter the password in the "password" field, then re-enter the same password in the "verify" field.
MindModel requires you to enter the password twice, to reduce the chances of your mistyping the password and setting a password that's different from the password you intended to type.
4) Click "OK" to confirm.
MindModel will assign the password you entered to the model.
You can confirm this fact by checking the title bar at the top of the Model Window. The phrase "[password protected]" will appear after the file path for the model.
The next time anyone opens this model, MindModel will present a dialog box asking for the password:
If the correct password is entered, MindModel will open the model, otherwise MindModel will refuse to open the model.
WARNING: Be very careful to remember the password you set for your models. If you forget a password you've assigned to a model, MindModel Corporation will not be able to retrieve it for you, and you will not be able to open the model.
