3.9 - Toolbar - Add Selected Noun to Collection

This Toolbar icon:

allows you to add the noun that is selected in the Nouns List of the Model Window to a collection.

For information on collections, refer to the section: Key Concepts: collection.

To use this command, first make sure that a noun is selected in the Nouns List.

When you click any part of the toolbar icon, MindModel displays a drop-down menu containing the names of the collections in your model.

NOTE: Clicking the icon or clicking the black triangle on the right side of the icon have the same effect.

For example, if you open the AcmeTech.min sample model, select a person in the Nouns List, then click the "Add to Collection" icon, MindModel displays a menu that looks like this:

Choosing one of the six collections listed in the menu adds the selected person to that collection.

If you want to add the person to a collection that is not already in the model, choose the "(Add a Collection...)" menu item, and MindModel allows you to enter the name of the new collection.

When you click OK, MindModel adds the collection to the model, then adds the selected noun to the collection.
