What is a Noun Type?

Information in MindModel is stored as nouns and statements.

Nouns are the people, places, things, ideas, etc. that are recorded in a model.

Statements are facts about those nouns.

To help you organize your data, nouns in MindModel are organized into categories, called "noun types".

Person, organization, and skill are examples of noun types.

"John Doe", "MindModel Corporation" and "web site design" are examples of nouns.

Finding a Noun Type

You can use the "Find" area at the bottom of the window to find a specific noun type.

Enter part of the noun type you are looking for, and MindModel will fill the list with noun types that match your entry.

For example, if you enter "org" (without the quotes) in the entry area, MindModel will fill the list with two items: "organization" and "organization type".

To refill the list will all noun types, erase the word "org", leaving the Find entry area blank.

You may find this text file useful for documenting your models.
