prepositional phrase

The prepositional phrase is the part of the statement that follows the object noun.

Not all statements have prepositional phrases.

For example, in the statement:

person: Kent Ortiz <introduced> person: Agnes Levine [to] person: Marlene Oliver

the prepositional phrase is "[to] person: Marlene Oliver".

The statement:

person: Kent Ortiz <knows how to use> software package: Adobe Photoshop

has no prepositional phrase.

A prepositional phrase is composed of a preposition and an object of preposition noun.
